Brent Coon Named Litigator of the Week By Texas Lawyer

This latest award for Mr. Coon comes on the heels of a $7,000,000 verdict against the Houston Independent School District (HISD). Mr. Coon is honored to receive this prestigious award.
A Houston State District Court jury unanimously concluded after a 5 week trial that HISD owed a Houston area contractor over $7 Million in damages and legal fees as a result of multiple breaches of construction contracts emanating from a 2007 school bond program. The jury also unanimously concluded that HISD was entitled to nothing on any of their multiple counterclaims against the contractor, their bonding agent and a third party for over $13 Million dollars.
