Beaumont Road Accident Hits Two Construction Workers, Killing One

Two construction workers were the victims of a Beaumont Road accident, on the southbound lanes of Eastex Freeway, at the Tram Road Overpass.

Around 10:30 am on Tuesday the 10th of August, two construction workers who were conducting an inspection of the highway construction project were hit. One of the construction workers died, while the other was left with injuries.

Since this Beaumont Road accident happened at a peak hour for traffic, the vehicles traveling on these lanes towards the Golden triangle experienced long traffic delays. According to some KJAS Facebook users, the road was blocked with traffic to Lumberton. However, with the help of the Beaumont police team, the traffic was able to clear up through Cooks Lake Road in Hardin County.

As for the victims, the Beaumont police officers investigating the case said they were from the Texas transportation department. The victims were conducting an inspection check when they got hit by a truck. The truck can be seen in a beaten-down condition at the scene, with doors and front hood damaged.

Beaumont police officers and the TXDOT officials were seen at the scene investigating and discussing the accident. The names and information of the victims and the driver are yet to be disclosed. The level of injuries with which one of the victims got away is also not clear to us.

Highway accidents are not uncommon, but this accident serves as an example that you need to be careful on the roads even when not driving. Drivers should follow all the driving guidelines even when the road seems clear and look out for the signs put up by construction workers. One small mistake from any individual’s side can affect many lives. if you’ve been involved in an accident, contact professional accident lawyers to help you sort out your case.
