Hip and Knee Infection Lawsuits

Hip and Knee Infection Lawsuits

Brent Coon and Associates is investigating knee/hip Infection lawsuits after reports of patients suffering from dangerous infections after knee or hip procedures. There are reports that these infections are occurring during a hip or knee replacement surgery. These infections, in some cases are causing additional surgeries for the patients to correct the problem. In severe cases the patients need to have the knee or hip implants replaced when the infection could not be treated. The symptoms of infection from a hip or knee replacement surgery include: Pain, Swelling, Wound Drainage, Fever and Chills, Fatigue. Approximately half of the knee and hip infections are staph infections. 8% of the infected hip and knee are staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus aureus is a very serious infection that is difficult to treat. In rare cases if Staphylococcus aureus isn’t treatable, the hip/knee patient may require amputation. We are currently looking for patients who suffered from a knee or hip staph infection, where the surgery was performed in the past 6 years.
