Teenage Girl Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Hesperia

A teenage girl died due to the injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash that took place on Tuesday, April 28. The tragic incident occurred in San Bernardino County, California.

The County Coroner’s Office released the identity of the victim. The teen was identified as Tristyn Shae Madole, 17, of Victorville. Madole was traveling as a passenger on a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by her father when the incident occurred.

According to the details shared by the authorities, Madole and her father were traveling eastbound on the Bear Valley Road in Hesperia when the crash happened. Just as they rode along with the 14000 blocks of the road, the motorcycle crashed into the rear of a semi-truck before crashing. Both Madole and her father sustained critical injuries in the crash.

The crash was reported to the authorities at around 2:50 p.m. As first responders arrived on the scene, Madole was pronounced dead by the coroner officials at around 3:00 p.m. Her father was rushed to a trauma center by air for life-threatening injuries. The exact nature of his injuries is not known at this time.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Investigations are led by the County Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team. In the wake of the crash, on-site investigations were also conducted by the local officials. As the on-site investigations continued, the route between Cottonwood and Mariposa Roads was shut down for several hours.

At this point, the focus of the investigations is to determine exactly how the incident occurred. Investigators are considering the possibility that a third vehicle was involved in the collision which prompted Madole’s father to lose control of the motorcycle and crash into the semi. Authorities may be able to piece together the incident more accurately once Madole’s father recovers and is able to provide a statement regarding the incident.
