A follow up study concluded that women who use talcum powder have between a 20% to 30% increased risk of suffering from ovarian cancer. There was no consensus on the amount of powder used and direct tie to cancer.

There have been other Talcum powder lawsuits filed that also claim that using the baby powder caused woman cancer. The Talcum Powder Trail in Missouri lasted 3 weeks. The jury needed only 5 hours of deliberations to come to it’s decision in this Talcum Powder verdict. The jury stated that the plaintiff is entitled to $10 Million in damages and then $62 million in punitive damages. Johnson and Johnson is expected to appeal this Talcum Powder Lawsuit. Currently there are reports of at least 1,200 more Talcum Powder lawsuits being filed against Johnson and Johnson.
